EMDR Intensives in North Carolina for Trauma and PTSD

A curated, immersive healing experience beyond traditional therapy.

I provide EMDR intensive therapy in North Carolina for adults seeking focused, structured trauma treatment in a condensed format. EMDR intensives allow for deeper therapeutic work over consecutive days rather than traditional weekly sessions.

What It Is

EMDR intensive therapy is a structured form of trauma treatment using EMDR in a multi-day format. This approach supports deeper processing with fewer interruptions between sessions.

Many people choose EMDR intensives when they want more focused progress than weekly therapy allows, especially when working through trauma, PTSD, or long-standing emotional patterns.

How I Structure EMDR Intensives...

Step 1: Free 30-Minute Consultation

We briefly discuss your goals and determine whether EMDR intensive therapy may be a good fit.

Step 2: 75-Minute Intake Session

We complete a clinical assessment, explore your history, and determine readiness for intensive trauma work.

Step 3: EMDR Intensive (3 Days Total)

  • 1 virtual half-day for stabilization and preparation

  • 2 full in-person days for EMDR processing and integration work

Sessions include breaks and are paced based on your nervous system and needs.

Step 4: 30-Day Follow-Up

We check in after your intensive to support integration and discuss next steps for continued care if needed.

What's Included?

Each EMDR Intensive is intentionally structured to provide a contained, supportive space for focused trauma processing and integration.

Your intensive includes:

  • A free 30-minute consultation to ensure fit

  • A 75-minute intake session for assessment and preparation

  • A 3-day EMDR intensive experience (12–15 total hours)

  • Structured preparation, EMDR processing, and integration work

  • Built-in breaks and pacing guided by your nervous system

  • A 30-day follow-up session for continued support

Throughout the process, you are not doing this alone. I guide the structure of the work while staying closely attuned to your pace, capacity, and needs so the experience feels steady, supported, and contained.

The environment is intentionally designed to support regulation, with grounding resources available throughout sessions, including blankets, snacks, and other sensory supports as needed.

You’ll also receive curated materials to support preparation and integration before and after your intensive.

Who This Is For

EMDR intensive therapy may be helpful if you are experiencing:

  • Trauma or complex trauma

  • Anxiety, panic, or emotional overwhelm

  • Nightmares or sleep disruption

  • Feeling stuck in weekly therapy

  • A desire for focused, accelerated trauma processing

This format works best when there is a baseline level of stability and support in place so the work can feel safe and contained. In some cases, additional preparation may be needed before beginning intensive work.

EMDR intensives may not be appropriate at this time if you are currently experiencing:

  • Active suicidal thoughts or crisis

  • Unstable substance use

  • Significant difficulty staying grounded in present awareness

  • Acute psychiatric instability

  • Limited external support during a current crisis

If any of these apply, we can talk about what support may help you get ready for this work in the future.
