Finished EMDR Training? Here’s What to Do When You Still Feel Stuck

You completed EMDR training for clinicians. You learned the protocol. You practiced it. Maybe you even felt confident leaving the classroom.

And then you sat down with a real client… and it didn’t feel so clear anymore.

That’s the part most EMDR trainings don’t cover.

Because EMDR training gives you a structure—but real sessions don’t follow scripts. Clients get overwhelmed, avoidant, or stuck. You’re trying to track targets, stay attuned, manage your own regulation, and make clinical decisions in real time.

Suddenly it’s not just about knowing EMDR.

It’s about thinking like an EMDR therapist.

The Gap Between EMDR Training and Real-Life Practice

Many new and even experienced clinicians feel lost after EMDR training.

You might notice:

  • Second-guessing your target selection

  • Feeling rusty if it’s been a while since your last EMDR session

  • Wondering if you’re “doing it right”

  • Wishing you could see how another clinician approaches the work

Continuing education and consultation exist—and they matter.

But they don’t always help when you’re in the middle of a session asking, what do I actually do here?

Why Club07Clear Exists

I created Club07Clear to make EMDR more accessible for clinicians—especially those who just finished training or feel rusty coming back to it.

This isn’t formal continuing education.

It’s not consultation.

There’s absolutely a place for both.

But this fills the gap between them.

It’s a space to:

  • Hear how another EMDR clinician thinks through a session

  • Get new ideas and practical insights for your own practice

  • Reconnect with EMDR in a real, human way—without registering for another training or paying for formal consultation

Because sometimes what helps most isn’t more structure. It’s perspective.

Making EMDR More Human and Accessible

At its core, EMDR isn’t just a protocol.

It’s relational. Flexible. Moment-to-moment. And it can feel rigid or intimidating if all you have is your training manual.

If we want to grow EMDR in our profession, we have to make it accessible and human. That means giving clinicians practical insight, peer learning opportunities, and space to think alongside someone else—without gatekeeping or pressure.

That’s what Club07Clear is about.

If you’re feeling stuck, rusty, or just want to think alongside another EMDR-trained clinician:

Check out the free EMDR videos on YouTube. They’re long-form, practical, and designed to help you apply EMDR in real sessions.

For deeper dives, membership content offers case walkthroughs and peer-focused insights—again, without formal consultation pressure.

Not CE. Not Consultation. Just the Space In Between

You don’t need another formal training to keep growing in EMDR.

Sometimes all you need is a place to reconnect with the work, gain perspective, and feel supported as a clinician.
